Why Sesqua exists

Sesqua began as a personal project to better understand everyday food choices while managing several common health concerns. I wanted the underlying nutrition data, where it came from, and clear comparisons—without hidden scoring or selling my information. I wrote it for myself first and I'm sharing it in case it helps you too.

First steps

How Sesqua Works

Go ahead—click around. Sesqua is ready to explore. USDA search and nutrition details are working application data. Locally stored examples may be sample content, not personal user data.

My Plan

Choices you are considering or intend to eat. Viewing or selecting one does not record it as eaten.

Windows Desktop

The Windows client provides the normal Sesqua experience plus Windows-only features such as Desktop shortcuts and folder integration. Its persistent data belongs to that Windows installation.

Web

Sesqua Web runs in a browser. Windows Desktop actions are unavailable, and data belongs to the computer hosting that Web installation—not automatically to a cloud account.

Phone

Use the responsive Web experience in a phone browser when your Sesqua Web installation is reachable. A dedicated native phone app or app-style launcher is future work.

Desktop, Web, and phone access do not automatically synchronize data with one another.

Accounts & saving your work

Use the same account across Sesqua and Admin. Shared content editing is available to administrators. Your USDA key is separate and can be added under My Account after signing in.
